So, without further ado, here are 16 trends to watch closely for the spring-summer 2025 period:

1. Peas

Dots, circles, and dots are multiplying among the biggest brands. Whether printed, embroidered, or in the form of beads sewn onto a piece, all the ways to repeat polka dots on a garment or accessory are being exploited this season.

2. The balloon skirt

The balloon skirt is taking over social media and stores! Recognizable by its fitted waist and rounded shape, it comes in short or long versions, in a multitude of colors. Particularly successful in lightweight poplin, which accentuates its puffy effect, this trendy piece pairs just as well with a casual t-shirt as with a chic blouse.

3. Bangs

Much like polka dots, fringes have made a subtle appearance over the past two seasons. They’re now taking center stage at Isabel Marant, Nanushka, and Diesel, and are shaping up to be a true must-have. From head to toe, to subtle (or not so subtle) details on accessories, fringes are undoubtedly everywhere.

4. Floral print

Floral prints are bold this season! For some, this retro style might remind you of your grandmother’s sofa. It’s no surprise: designers have borrowed this “tapestry” motif from interior design to deliver a few statement pieces , seen at Dries Van Noten and Loewe. The secret to wearing this pattern this spring? Pair it with minimalist clothing to balance the look and add a touch of romance.

5. The sautoir necklace

There are numerous references to the 1920s in the Spring/Summer 2025 collections. One of the designers’ favorites this season? The sautoir necklace, a long piece of jewelry that goes beyond just around the neck. There are several styles, from casual to sophisticated, made of pearls, metal, wood, and more. Wrap it several times around the neck to create maximum volume, or wear it extra long to accentuate a neckline.

6. Pale blue

Typically, the return of milder temperatures inspires a change of color in the wardrobe. The Spring/Summer 2025 season is no exception, with the marked presence of lighter shades of blue on the catwalks. We also noticed that several designers chose to present monochrome ensembles in this color, and we love it!

7. Transparent pants

Having been a fixture on the catwalks for several seasons, transparency doesn’t seem to have said its last word yet. This season, it’s mainly on the legs that we’ll be sporting ethereal fabrics, according to several haute couture houses. The most daring among us will be wearing pants, whether flowing or fitted, that reveal a glimpse of their legs.

8. Wrinkled clothes

This deliberately sloppy aesthetic is emerging as one of the most relevant fashion trends of the moment. We can embrace it in small doses by sporting just a wrinkled sweater, or we can dare to go for a rumpled texture from head to toe. Either way, this is great news for those who hate ironing their clothes!

9. Stacked bags

One bag is good, but two is better! This trend of carrying two bags seems to have come straight from the street, and many brands have officially adopted it. The mini handbag may be fashionable, but it’s not designed to carry more than a simple lipstick. So, we pair it with a larger, more practical size. We complete the look with a few charms to decorate our bag duo.

10. Stripes

Several designers have made stripes their key motif this season, whether thin or wide. They’re particularly seen on suits—still very popular, by the way—and on more casual pieces, like sweaters or Bermuda shorts. Don’t hesitate to layer horizontal and vertical lines, as at Rabanne, creating a patchwork effect.

11. The peep toe shoe

The must-have shoe this season? The open-toe high heel. Very popular in the late 2000s, the peep-toe is back, this time marked by an avant-garde aesthetic, as seen at Acne Studios and Tory Burch. Opt for the strappy style or the fully closed one, and in the desired height.

12.The trouser skirt

There are many variations on the skirt-pants. Some brands rely on a short skirt layered over wide-legged pants, while others offer the combination with a longer, more flowing skirt. While not universally popular, the culottes skirt is ideal for a smooth transition to warmer weather, especially when the skirt is paired with Bermuda shorts, like at Ganni, or when the pants have only one leg, like at Bottega Veneta.

13. Soft pink

The red of Fall/Winter 2024 is toning down, giving way to pink this season. Softer shades are everywhere, bringing a touch of romance to airy fabrics. Plus, soft pink is a color that looks great on a wide variety of skin tones and hair colors. We’re embracing it now!

14. The windbreaker

The windbreaker is the coat of the moment, and we wear it even on sunny days! Many designers have introduced this sporty garment into their ready-to-wear collections to blur the lines between chic and casual. The moral of this trend: we don’t hesitate for a second to wear a sporty-looking coat over an elegant dress.

15. The XL bracelet

Delicate jewelry is out. Just like necklaces, which are becoming larger and longer, bracelets are making a statement this season. Choose chunky ones to add maximum character to your look, and have fun layering them if you feel like it.

16. Low waist

We’ve seen it coming for a while now, and it’s definitely here this season. The low-rise waistband has made its way onto the biggest catwalks and is now likely to become an integral part of our wardrobe. It reveals the navel when worn with a crop top, but good news for those who are sensitive to the cold, it also looks great with a leotard. One thing’s for sure: the low-rise waistband is likely to inject a good dose of sexiness into our spring!
